GNA (GCC and SAC members) and Habitat for Humanity are partnering for practical ministry in Atlanta
THIS YEARS PROJECT ENDS ON NOV. 2nd!
SO SIGN UP TODAY!
WHO? Georgia-Cumberland Conference and South Atlantic Conference are partnering with Habitat for Humanity to build a home in the Atlanta area. They need YOU if you are age 16 or older. No special skills required.
WHAT? 20 people are needed to volunteer each Sunday from each conference (40 each day).
WHEN? October 19, 26; and November 2: Each Sunday goes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE? volunteers go directly to the site
WHY? Serve others. Build a new home for someone deserving. Be a missionary close to home.
HOW?

Donate funds (each conference pays $27,500 to make this possible)

BUILD DATES, TYPE OF WORK ETC.
Day 1 – September 21 DONE!

Day 2 – September 28; DONE!
What an awesome group that showed up! Even with less people you guys worked like crazy and did what needed to be done! THANKS SO MUCH!!!
Day 3 – October 5; DONE!
Shingle roof. Insulate walls and ceiling. Begin siding and caulking.
Install underlayment in kitchen, dining room and bathroom.
Day 4 – October 12; DONE!
Finish insulation. Finish siding and caulking. Begin painting exterior – siding,
foundation, window trim. Build side porch and ramp.
Day 5 – October 19; Start at the house @ 8 a.m. DONE!
Finish exterior painting. Begin interior painting. Install baseboard, window sills,
and misc. interior trim. Install cabinets and countertops. Begin soffit & fascia.
Day 6 – October 26; Start at the house @ 8 a.m. DONE!
Touch up exterior painting. Finish soffit and fascia. Finish interior painting.
Install porch railings.
Day 7 – November 2; Start at the house @ 8 a.m. DONE!
Install doorknobs and bathroom hardware. Clean house interior. Touch up interior
painting. Complete miscellaneous items. Rake and clear lot. Landscape.
