“Jesus is Coming Again” Crusade Draws Young and Old Alike

The Belvedere “Stars” Adventurer Club and “Vanguard” Pathfinder Club successfully conducted a week–long evangelistic crusade, entitled “Jesus is Coming Again”. The meetings were held nightly from April 3–10, with the exception of Thursday night. The “Jesus is Coming Again” crusade featured eight speakers: Pathfinders Jessica Stewart, Ty Dennis, Crystalyn Black and Joshua Loiten, and Adventurers Joshua Hendrix, Gizelle McField, Darius Jones and Kerrigan Leary.

The sermon topics included, “Counterfeits”, “The Top Ten Ways to Get to Heaven”, “Special Signs” and “The Glorious Flight”. Children's choirs from the Emmanuel, First Lithonia and Stone Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Churches, respectively, were featured as musical guests. Belvedere Church's Adventist Youth Society co-director, Ave Morris, and his drama team, performed a skit before every sermon, which highlighted the topic. Michelle Johnson, and her Decorating Committee, beautified the sanctuary with colourful banners and props. Pastoral Assistant, Winsome Wint, was responsible for the attractive banner displays that welcomed guests in the foyer, and also provided special bulletin covers. Leslyn Williams, Joyce Haynes and their kitchen staff faithfully provided tasty meals for those who attended the crusade night after night.

The culmination of the “Jesus is Coming Again” crusade, was when several people answered the altar call of speaker and Belvedere Pathfinder, Joshua Loiten. Their hearts were touched by the Holy Spirit as they recommitted their lives to Christ, and purposed to be ready for His soon return. The directors of the Belvedere Adventurer and Pathfinder Clubs, attribute the success of the crusade to lots of prayer, planning and dedication by everyone involved.
