Summer Revival

Atlanta West End Pastor used basic principles of the gospel truth to bring souls to Jesus.

Patrick Carter, associate pastor at Atlanta-West End SDA Church, used as his theme, “The Bible Truth Conference: One Lord, One God, One Baptism.”

“We wanted people to know the unadulterated truth of God’s word,” he said. “We strive to ensure that those who heard the word heard it straight from the scriptures. We wanted everyone to focus on those elements. Those are the trinity.”

The three-week series met Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sabbaths with an estimated total attendance of about 1,000 people. Vacation Bible School was held during the last two weeks for the children under the leadership of Sandra Zachariah.

“We had a wonderful time in the Lord,” Pastor Carter said. “Our senior pastor, Elder Calvin Preston, played such a vital role that it went off without a hitch. Without his help, we wouldn’t have been able to baptize 25 precious souls.”

Pastor Carter recently relocated to the metropolitan Atlanta area after 4-1/2 years in the Anderson-Greenwood, SC, district. This was his first revival in his new church home, the second of the year for West End. The church is planning a Revelation seminar in September.
