Organic Greenhouse & Evangelism

You might have been hearing a lot of talk about "organic church" and "Greenhouse," and wondered just what exactly does that mean?  What does the term, "organic" have to do with church, anyway?

Good question!  If you were to say you were going to only buy organic fruits and vegetables from now on, wouldn’t there be certain expectations and criteria you would look for?  You would expect your produce to be grown in healthy soil, without pesticides or chemicals, and that the grower would tend the crops with extra care.  You expect organic fruits and vegetables to be more nutritious and safe for you because they are grown naturally – organically!  The same can be said about church!

In Greenhouse training, a foundation is laid for what is involved in starting a healthy, naturally-growing church.  The descriptions of farming and gardening are used to help us understand how God can grow and reproduce disciples, leaders, and churches.

In a typical Greenhouse weekend training experience, you will learn Biblical principles which show how to naturally build relationships for the purpose of reaching people who don’t know Christ, and provide simple and practical tools anyone can use to reach family, friends, neighbors and co-workers for Jesus.   

Jan and Bill Levin decided to put the Greenhouse principles to the test.  Using its simple principles, they prayed for God’s leading and entered a community where they did not know anyone, or have any connections.  They have been utterly amazed at the powerful working of God.  They have since been meeting weekly since 2004.  God is working, and life transformation is taking place.

What is "Greenhouse?"

Greenhouse is a highly intentional weekend training experience based on Biblical principles which serve to naturally build relationships for the purpose of reaching people who don’t know Christ, and provide simple and practical tools anyone can use to reach family, friends, neighbors and co-workers for Jesus.

Greenhouse teaches what constitutes Biblical DNA, and how crucial this is for spiritual life. The emphasis of Greenhouse is about making friends for Christ and helping them to become His disciples. All who are interested in reaching people for the Kingdom will come away from this weekend, enriched, challenged, blessed, and equipped with "hands on" tools to reach their world for Christ!
